Itinerary -
Day 01: Arrive Guwahati - Orang National Park (135 km / 4 hrs)
Upon arrival at Guwahati airport meet with our representative and drive to Orang National Park. Established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1985 followed by declaration as a national oar in 1999, Orang National park is located on the north bank of the mighty Brahmaputra. Its landscape, streams and grassland are perfect for bird species with other flora and fauna. Orang is also regarded as a mini Kaziranga due to its similar landscape.
Upon reaching Orang transfer to the wildlife lodge. In the evening stroll around the lodge for some pre-birding. Overnight stay in Orang.
Day 02: Orang National Park
Today we will wake up early in the morning and to enter to the Orang National Park by an open vehicle; the park will be open for visiting between 07:30 - 09:30 for 02 hrs in the morning time. During our 02 hrs of Jeep safari in Orang national park we will be able to spot a number of varieties of epidemic, migratory birds, water birds, predators, scavengers and game birds.
Orang National Park is home to more than 222 species of birds, the check list for Orang National park will be as follows - Spot-billed Pelican, Great White Pelican, Black-necked Stork, Greater Adjutant Stork, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Ruddy Shelduck, Gadwall, Brahminy Duck, Pintail, Hornbills, Pallas's Fishing Eagle, King Fisher and Woodpecker, Floricanand the migratory bird white pelicans.
After our two hrs birding tour inside the Orang, we will return back to our lodge for fresh-n-up and breakfast. After breakfast it's time to explore the area around our accommodation as the dense forest at green helmet inhabited by a number of birds.
Later return to the lodge for Lunch. After a short rest it's time to explore the national park again with boarding an open vehicle. Overnight stay at lodge.
Day 03: Orang National Park - Kaziranga National Park (140 km / 04 hrs)
Today after breakfast, we will leave for the world famous Kaziranga National Park. En-route we will have short stop at Tezpur with visiting its ruins. Further continue drive to Kaziranga National Park. Upon reaching the park, transfer to the wildlife resort. Kaziranga is the most beautiful national park among the all the national park of north east India and its lush green flood plains with alluvial grassland, tropical wet semi-green and evergreen forest vegetation is home to a number of fascinating wildlife. About 500 species of birds have been recorded so far in Kaziranga.
After lunch we will be ready to enter the national park for first time by boarding an open vehicle. During our wildlife safaris in Kaziranga we will be able to spot following list of birds the Great and Wreathed Hornbill, Jerdon's Baza, Swamp Francolin, Pale-capped Pigeon, Slender-billed Vulture, Pallas's Fishing Eagle, Greater Spotted Eagle, Imperial Eagle, Bengal Florican, Pied Harrier, Pied Falconet, Oriental Hobby, Black-necked Stork, Greater Adjutant, Jerdon's Babbler, Hodgson's Bushchat, White-vented Myna, Black-breasted Parrotbill, Rufous-vented Prinia, Marsh Babbler and Finn's Weaver.
Dinner and overnight stay at wildlife resort.
Day 04: Kaziranga National Park
Today, we will wake up little early and enter the forest in the Elephant back. Our representative will take you to the Elephant riding point by jeeps. Here we will be moving through the tall grass while the morning mists slowly lift is an experience that one won't forget easily. The Elephant ride is best means for wildlife viewing as the wild animals are not afraid of the elephants and it is possible to observe them from the very close.
We will return to the resort for breakfast. After breakfast we will go on our first Jeep safari to the national park for wildlife viewing in the central zone. Later return to the resort for fresh-n-up and spent the time till lunch. After lunch we will go on our second jeep safari of the day, this time we will visit the Western zone of the national park. One can also spent some time at the Donga view point, situated in western zone. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 05: Kaziranga National Park
As we will awake a little early and will move to the Burapahar Range of the national park with packed breakfast. We will drive from our resort to the nearest place from where we will start our trekking or walk inside the Burapahar range of the National Park.
Our track will starts from Pani Juri Camp with a naturalist and forest guards, from here we will walk up to the banks of River Brahmaputra. We will go through the midst of the Woodland that Burapahar is so famous for, during our trekking we will be able to see a lots of wildlife like Capped Langurs, Elephants and the Great Indian Hornbill and Hoolock Gibbon. After the hrs of trekking we will return to Pani Juri camp and then drive back to the resort for Lunch.
Post lunch we will again go for a Jeep Safari inside the central range of the Kaziranga National Park to increase our chances of more wildlife sighting. Later return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06: Kaziranga National Park - Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary (191 km / 4 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Pobitora. Upon arrival check into the wildlife resort. After lunch enjoy jeep safari to the national park for Bird and animal watching. The commonly sighted birds of Pobitora are White Breasted Kingfisher, Oriental Magpie Robin engaged, Grey Backed Shrike, Brown Shrike, Spotted Doves, Lineated Barbet flying, Black Hooded Oriole, Crescent Serpent Eagle, Egrets, Jungle Myna, Common Stonechat, Bengal Bushlark, Cormorants, Crescent Serpent Eagle, Greylag Geese, Garganey and Green Bee eaters, Black Necked Stork, Spot Billed Pelicans and Grey Headed Lapwing etc.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Pobitora - Manas National Park (190 km / 6 ½ hrs)
Early morning elephant safari to the Pobitora sanctuary. Later return to resort for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Manas National Park. Upon arrival check in to the wildlife resort. In the evening enjoy bird watching around the birding logistic. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Manas National Park
Morning Elephant safari to the national Park. In the afternoon, jungle safari to the national park for wildlife viewing. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 09: Manas - Guwahati (150 km / 04 ½ - 05 hrs) - departure
After breakfast leave for Guwahati. Upon arrival transfer to the airport for onward journey.
